The City of Johannesburg Department of Social Development, led by the Braamfischerville GBVF Action Team, focused on strengthening prevention and response mechanisms in Region C and Region D. The West Rand District Municipality’s Challenge: Building Trust and Increasing Reporting

The West Rand District Municipality team focused their End GBVF 100-Day Challenge on Pillar 2: increasing the reporting of GBVF in “hot zones”.
Throughout their 100-Day Challenge race, they conducted 10 awareness programs, reaching over 880 community members, including 514 females, 352 males, and 14 members of the LGBTQIA+ community. These efforts led to a 30% increase in case reporting.
